NCRI 2016 | Challenges in SCLC research

Corinne Faivre-Finn, FRCR, MD, PhD of University of Manchester and the Christie NHS Foundation Trust, UK discusses challenges in small-cell lung cancer (SCLC) research. 10-15% of patients have SCLC, compared to over 20% ten years ago, which means there are less patients, who can be recruited to clinical trials. Another barrier is a lack of understanding of SCLC biology and genetic alterations, but research is ongoing in this field. Recorded at the 2016 National Cancer Research Institute (NCRI) Conference in Liverpool, UK.
