ECCO 2017 | The benefits of a career in oncology nursing

Judith Shamian, RN, PhD, DSci, LLD, FAAN of the International Council of Nurses, Geneva, Switzerland discusses the nursing profession at the European Cancer Congress of the European Cancer Organisation (ECCO) 2017 in Amsterdam, Netherlands. She states that nursing is an important profession, built on knowledge and science that makes a significant difference to people’s lives. There is the opportunity to work in many different fields, and to specialize, and if working conditions are improved, it could be even better.
