ESMO 2017 | Pharmacokinetics: an important factor in cancer treatment

The pharmacokinetics involved with different drugs greatly influences how they are used in the treatment of cancer patients. Diana Lüftner, from the Humboldt University, Berlin, Germany talks to us about when it is acceptable for clinicians to alter their patient’s medication. Prof. Lüftner stresses the importance of differentiating between drug types to ensure patients receive optimal treatment, using the drug trastuzumab as an example.
