ASCO 2017 | Improving patient outcomes using mHealth technologies

Heather Jim • 13 Jun 2017

Heather S. L. Jim, PhD of the H. Lee Moffit Cancer Center and Research Institute, Tampa, Fl, talks about the importance of patient-reported outcomes in clinical care and how mobile health (mHealth) technologies can help improve clinical outcomes. By facilitating the collection, monitoring and management of patient-reported outcomes, mHealth helps to understand the toxicities and costs related to treatment. It helps healthcare professionals educate patients and their families about what to expect. It also helps improve patients’ quality of life, allowing them stay on treatments for longer.
Recorded at the American Society of Oncology (ASCO) 2017 Annual Meeting held in Chicago, IL.
