Rachel Thomas, lung cancer clinical nurse specialist at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, London, UK talks about the experience of lung cancer patients receiving immunotherapy. She explains that when looking after patients on immunotherapy as a nurse, it is important to remember that it is different from chemotherapy. She now needs to ask her patients different questions, for example whether they are experiencing a rash, diarrhea, fatigue, or changes in skin color. Generally, her patients seem to tolerate immunotherapy drugs relatively well. Recorded at the 2016 World Conference of Lung Cancer (WCLC) of the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC) in Vienna, Austria.
