The question of which biomarkers to focus our attention on to treat melanoma patients can be a complex issue. Christian Blank, MD, PhD, from the Netherlands Cancer Institute, Amsterdam, Netherlands discusses one of his recent publications which addressed this problem by proposing the concept of the ‘cancer immunogram’. Dr Blank explains how this study was carried out, and how it can help to guide treatment choice. This interview was recorded at the 2017 European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) held in Madrid, Spain.
