Whole genome DNA sequencing is being developed, and it is very promising area. There is a range of possible uses for DNA sequencing, the current focus being on specific tests and targeted drugs. Whole genome sequencing may also lead to patterns being identified across patient groups, and new targeted treatment opportunities.
