ECCO 2017 | Addressing inequality in cancer care and introducing a multidisciplinary team approach across Europe

Ian Banks, MD from the European Men’s Health Forum, Brussels, Belgium discusses his highlights from the European Cancer Congress of the European Cancer Organisation (ECCO) 2017 in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Dr Banks explains that Vytenis Andriukaitis, EU Commissioner for Health and Food Safety, pointed out some key issues in Europe that ECCO is also trying to address; he talked about the importance of addressing the inequalities in care for cancer patients across Europe and he also talked about the importance of introducing a multidisciplinary team approach.
