Matti Aapro, MD, from the Multidisciplinary Oncology Institute, Genolier, Switzerland, discusses the All.Can initiative at the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) 2017 in Madrid, Spain. The All.Can initiative was set up to improve cancer, and therefore the outcomes for patients. It is based on the idea that many different people, form many different countries, working together will improve efficiency, and is supported by patients, healthcare professionals, pharmaceutical companies, and many more groups. The next step is to determine what does need to be improved, and this is being done by questionnaire. Individuals putting forward their opinions and priorities will transform wishful thinking into action.
