Advances in thoracic oncology care

The British Thoracic Oncology Group (BTOG) Annual Conference 2018 was hosted in Dublin on the 24–26 January.

Key themes included early diagnosis, immuno-oncology and improvements to the lung cancer care pathway in the UK. There was exciting discussion around the use of lung cancer screening in the UK, as well as interesting insights from the launch of the latest NLCA report.

All aspects of lung cancer care were covered during the meeting, ranging from treatment and diagnosis, to policy, nursing, surgery and patient advocacy. Mesothelioma and neuroendocrine tumors of the lung were also well represented at the meeting.
