ESMO 2016 | Mummy’s Star: supporting pregnant women diagnosed with cancer

Pete Wallroth is the founder and CEO of Mummy’s Star, Hadfield, UK, a group that supports over 300 women diagnosed with cancer during pregnancy. Mummy’s Star provides emotional support to patients and their families, whilst raising awareness of the issue and addressing the myths surrounding treatment availability. Recently, the group has also started supporting people outside the UK and Ireland, as the lack of support for pregnant women diagnosed with cancer continues to be an unmet need. Recorded at the 2016 annual meeting of the European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO), held in Copenhagen, Denmark.
