ESMO Sarcoma & GIST 2022 | Highlights from ESMO Sarcoma & GIST 2022

Robin Jones, MBBS, MRCP, MD, The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust, London, UK, outlines the highlights from the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) Sarcoma & gastrointestinal cancer (GIST) Symposium 2022. A preceptorship advanced course provided mentoring and teaching for the next generation doctors and researchers, including on the management of local and advance diseases and specific sessions on adolescent sarcomas and GIST tumors. A keynote lecture highlighted advancements in the management of sarcomas, emphasizing the importance of specialist sarcomas centers in sarcoma treatment. Novel therapeutic approaches were discussed, as well as clinical research with an emphasis on collaborative research efforts. This interview took place during the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) Sarcoma & GIST Symposium.
