ELCC 2022 | Lung ART: investigating the role of postoperative radiotherapy in completely resected N2 NSCLC

Lizza Hendriks, MD, PhD, Maastricht University, Maastricht, Netherlands, discusses the Phase III Lung ART (NCT00410683) clinical trial evaluating post-operative radiotherapy in completely resected N2 non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Prior to the Lung ART study, the role of postoperative radiotherapy remained controversial due to a lack in appropriate clinical trial data. Overall, the results indicated ruling out the use of postoperative radiotherapy for the treatment of completely resected N2 NSCLC. This interview took place during the virtual European Lung Cancer Congress 2022.
