ASCO 2022 | Challenges in genomic testing for lung cancer

Miguel Garcia-Pardo, MD, Princess Margaret Cancer Center, Toronto, Canada, provides an overview of challenges associated with genomic testing in lung cancer, including the importance of identifying mutations for which there are treatment approaches. Dr Garcia-Pardo touches on difficulties in obtaining tissue for genomic testing, approaches to reduce turnaround times, and the use of plasma-based molecular profiling.
