Nabil F. Saba, MD, FACP, Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University, Atlanta, GA, discusses key areas of unmet need in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC). Essentially, HPV-positive and HPV-negative HNSCC are two distinct diseases and there remains a high need in improving treatment of patients particularly with HPV-negative disease. However, the incidence of HPV-positive HNSCC is expected to dramatically increase over the next couple of decades and will require further attention. This interview took place at the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) 2022 Annual Meeting in Chicago, IL.
