Rainer Fietkau, MD, PhD, University Hospital Erlangen, Erlangen, Germany, talks on the unmet needs of patients with locally advanced pancreatic cancer. 1/3 of this patient population will get distant metastases during induction chemotherapy, presenting a significant area for improvement. Prof. Rainer emphasizes the importance of obtaining an R0 resection for long-term survival and improving the selection criteria for patients undergoing surgery.
