WCLC 2022 | Real-world data to account for lack of elderly patients with NSCLC in clinical trials

Elderly patients and patients with poor performance status are frequently excluded from clinical trials, thus clinical trial data is based on a younger cohort which cannot be reliably generalized to this patient population. Dr Veluswamy highlights the importance of real-world data and statistical methods to account for selection bias in clinical trials. This interview took place at the IASLC 2022 World Conference on Lung Cancer congress in Vienna, Austria.
