Qing Zhou, MD, PhD, Guangdong Lung Cancer Institute, Guangzhou, China, elaborates on how treatment resistance is an issue for patients with EGFR-mutated non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Dr Zhou highlights the importance of developing novel drugs and treatment strategies to combat this resistance and what effect this might have on extending progression-free survival in patients with advanced NSCLC.
