David M. Nanus, MD, Weill Cornell Medicine and New York Presbyterian Hospital, New York City, NY, discusses guidelines for the use of PSMA PET scans for the diagnosis of prostate cancer. Most guidelines only recommend the use of imaging for intermediate- and high-risk populations, with conventional methods including CT scans and bone scans. However, recent guidelines have started to recommend the use of PSMA PET scans for these populations. This interview took place at the ASCO GU Cancers Symposium 2023 in San Francisco, CA.
