Puneeth Iyengar, MD, PhD, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York, NY, highlights research focuses for the improvement of radiotherapy for lung cancer. Improved imaging techniques, such as FDG PET scans, for precise therapy targeting may help focus radiotherapy on active regions of a tumor to minimize damage to normal tissue.
