Jill Hamilton-Reeves, PhD, RD, CSO, University of Kansas, Lawrence, KS, comments on the rationale behind giving patients receiving surgery extra nutrients after surgery. The addition of fish oil and arginine, which can help with inflammation and infection respectively, with nucleotides may enhance outcomes in patients undergoing surgery. This interview took place during the 2024 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Meeting in Chicago, IL.
