ESMO GI 2024 | Phase I trial of nintedanib and chemotherapy in metastatic PDAC

Salwan Al Mutar, MD, UT Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas, TX, explores a Phase Ib study (NCT02902484) of nintedanib, an oral kinase inhibitor targeting VEGFR, PDGFR, and FGFR, with gemcitabine and nab-paclitaxel in metastatic pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC). Results showed that nintedanib 200 mg twice daily was safe and tolerable and the most common adverse events included anemia, neuropathy, and fatigue. This interview took place at 2024 European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) Gastrointestinal Cancers Annual Congress in Munich, Germany.
