Luca Arecco, MD, University of Genoa, Genova, Italy, reflects on the data collected in the BRCA BCY Collaboration cohort study (NCT03673306), investigating the correlation between the likelihood of breast cancer and pregnancy. Despite data being collected from 78 centers over the world, there is an emphasis on recruiting more patients to validate results further. Genomic assessment will be conducted in particularly young patients to see if there is an intrinsic aggressiveness of disease between patients with sporadic disease. This interview took place during the 2024 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Meeting in Chicago, IL.
