ASCO 2024 | ORCHESTRA: tumor debulking in metastatic colorectal cancer

Elske Gootjes, MD, Amsterdam University Medical Center, Amsterdam, Netherlands, gives insight on the randomized Phase III ORCHESTRA trial (NCT01792934) investigating palliative systemic therapy versus palliative systemic therapy plus tumor debulking in patients with multiorgan metastatic colorectal cancer. Results showed that the addition of tumor debulking to systemic therapy showed no improvement in overall survival (OS). This interview took place during the 2024 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Meeting in Chicago, IL.
