ESMO 2024 | Evaluating the role of neoadjuvant chemotherapy and surgery in stage I TNBC

Manon De Graaf, MD, Netherlands Cancer Institute, Amsterdam, The Netherlands, shares findings from a study which analyzed outcomes in patients with stage I triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) who received neoadjuvant chemotherapy followed by surgery. Among 1,144 patients, neoadjuvant chemotherapy resulted in encouraging long-term outcomes, and these findings subsequently support neoadjuvant chemotherapy use in early-stage TNBC. This interview took place at the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) 2024 Congress in Barcelona, Spain.
