Leticia Nogueira, MD, American Cancer Society, Palm Harbor, FL, comments on the growing impact of climate change, highlighting how disadvantaged communities, often unprepared and lacking resources, are hit the hardest by climate disasters. Despite facing greater risks, these communities also offer innovative solutions. Dr Nogueira emphasizes the need to engage with and learn from these communities to address climate change effectively and promote health equity on a global scale.
