David Lee, MBBS, University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, examines the role of perioperative therapy and surgery in patients with stage III non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) without driver mutations. Clinicians need to define who is resectable and a consensus from a multidisciplinary team is essential. Dr Lee additionally highlights trials such as the CheckMate 816 (NCT02998528) and CheckMate 77T (NCT04025879) trials, which have assessed perioperative strategies. This interview took place at the 2024 World Conference on Lung Cancer (WCLC) in San Diego, CA.
