ESMO 2024 | SOHO-02: BAY 2927088, an oral HER2 TKI, for first-line NSCLC

Antonio Passaro, MD, PhD, Istituto Europeo di Oncologia, Milan, Italy, discusses the Phase I/II SOHO-02 trial (NCT06452277) of BAY 2927088, an oral HER2 tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI), as a first-line treatment for locally advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) with HER2-activating mutations. The study randomizes patients to BAY 2927088 or pembrolizumab plus platinum-based chemotherapy, the standard of care. Primary endpoints include progression-free survival, and secondary objectives include overall survival, response rates, and safety. This interview took place at the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) 2024 Congress in Barcelona, Spain.
