ESMO 2024 | Key findings from CABINET and SEQTOR trials on treatment sequencing for advanced NETs

Nicola Fazio, MD, PhD, Istituto Europeo di Oncologia, Milan, Italy, gives an overview of findings from the CABINET (NCT03375320) and SEQTOR (NCT02246127) trials. CABINET demonstrated significant improvement in progression-free survival (PFS) in patients with advanced neuroendocrine tumors (NET) receiving cabozantinib, with a consistent safety profile. The SEQTOR trial analyzed the sequence of streptozotocin with 5-fluorouracil and everolimus in patients with pancreatic NET (panNET), revealing that streptozotocin with 5-fluorouracil yielded a higher response rate, particularly in grade 2 tumors. This interview took place at the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) 2024 Congress in Barcelona, Spain.
