Breast Cancer Atezolizumab Checkpoint Inhibitors

Hans Christian Kolberg, MD, Marienhospital Bottrop, Bottrop, Germany, reviews prevalent biomarkers of immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI) efficacy in triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC). So far, PD-L1 combined positive score (CPS) is the most significant biomarker in the metastatic setting, and other biomarkers such as tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) or dynamic Ki-67 have shown potential in the neoadjuvant setting. This interview took place at 2024 San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium (SABCS) congress in San Antonio, TX.
