GU Cancers 2025 | Real-world use of radiotherapy in de novo oligometastatic prostate cancer

Sophia Kamran, MD, Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, MA, discusses is a multi-institutional, real-world analysis evaluating radiation therapy outcomes in de novo oligometastatic prostate cancer. The study highlights the use of molecular diagnostic imaging and conventional imaging to identify patients, with most receiving systemic therapy and prostate-directed radiation. The findings suggest promising progression-free and overall survival rates, supporting radiation therapy as a key component in managing this disease. This interview took place at the ASCO GU Cancers Symposium 2025 in San Francisco, CA.
