Alina Basnet, MD, MBBS, SUNY Upstate Medical University, Syracuse, NY, explains the lack of currently emerging therapeutic approaches to specifically target patients with young-onset bladder cancer (YOBC). Whilst genomic differences have been identified between patients with early YOBC and clinically advanced YOBC, more studies could highlight targetable mutations out with the potentially targetable MTAP and PTEN mutations.
