Elżbieta Senkus-Konefka, MD, PhD, Medical University of Gdańsk, Gdańsk, Poland, discusses the impact of multidisciplinary care and consensus decision-making in breast cancer. While this structure incurs a higher initial economic burden, it produces immediate improvements in disease outcome and patient quality of life which ultimately pays dividends.
