Jai Min Ryu, MD, PhD, Sungkyunkwan University School of Medicine, Seoul, Korea, discusses updated long-term results from the ASTRRA trial (NCT00912548) of ovarian function suppression with tamoxifen in premenopausal women with HR+ breast cancer. Addition of suppression improved disease-free survival, particularly in patients with HER2-negative disease and high composite risk scores. The benefit was most notable among those aged 40–45 years, supporting tailored use of ovarian suppression based on individual risk factors to optimize outcomes. This interview took place during the 2025 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Meeting in Chicago, IL.
