CACA 2025 | Advances in glioma surgery and functional preservation strategies

Zhaoshi Bao, MD, Beijing Tiantan Hospital, Beijing, China, comments on developments in surgical resection of neurological tumors. The language and motor areas of the brain are the most common site of gliomas and preservation of speech and motor function in patients is crucial for surgeons. The creation of a biobank of recurrent glioma tissue will additionally enable large-scale drug screening for this difficult-to-treat tumor. This interview took place at the 2025 Chinese Anti-Cancer Association (CACA) Science & Technology Award Talks in Kunming, China.
