ASCO 2026 | BREAKWATER Cohort 3: encorafenib, cetuximab & FOLFIRI in BRAF V600E-m mCRC

Scott Kopetz, MD, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX, presents progression-free and overall survival analyses from BREAKWATER Cohort 3 (NCT04607421) of first-line encorafenib plus cetuximab combined with FOLFIRI in patients with BRAF V600E-mutant metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC). Results demonstrated clinically meaningful and statistically significant improvements in progression-free survival and overall response rate versus control, with a manageable safety profile, supporting this regimen as a practice-changing standard-of-care option in this population. This interview took place during the 2026 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Meeting in Chicago, IL.
