Anis Hamid, MBBS, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York, NY, discusses the results of a correlative study of the Phase III ENZAMET trial (NCT02446405), which investigated germline genetic correlates in metastatic hormone-sensitive prostate cancer (mHSPC) treated with androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) plus non-steroidal anti-androgen or enzalutamide. The study found a clear prognostic effect of germline BRCA mutations, with patients having a shorter progression-free survival (PFS) in the control arm, and that this effect was neutralized by the addition of enzalutamide. This interview took place during the 2026 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Meeting in Chicago, IL.
