ASCO 2026 | Encorafenib plus cetuximab in BRAF V600E-mutant mCRC

Scott Kopetz, MD, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX, discusses clinical implications of BREAKWATER Cohort 3 (NCT04607421) examining first-line encorafenib plus cetuximab with FOLFIRI in patients with BRAF V600E-mutant metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC). Results indicate that encorafenib plus cetuximab can be combined with both FOLFIRI and FOLFOX, which were both included in FDA approval. This interview took place during the 2026 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Meeting in Chicago, IL.
