ESTRO 2026 | Current and emerging systemic strategies in biochemically relapsed prostate cancer

Ashwin Sachdeva, MBBS, PhD, University of Manchester, Manchester, UK, explores current and emerging systemic therapies with salvage radiotherapy for the treatment biochemically relapsed prostate cancer. Dr Sachdeva highlights key areas of research, including androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) in patients with higher-risk biochemical relapse, ADT and androgen receptor pathway inhibitors (ARPI) in patients not eligible for salvage radiotherapy, perioperative systemic therapy in patients with a high-risk of relapse and the future of biomarker-directed treatment. This interview took place at the European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology 2026 Congress in Stockholm, Sweden.
