Roberto Borea, MD, The Ohio State University, Columbus, OH, presents the background for a whole-transcriptome profiling study which aims to identify biomarkers for metastasis in patients with early-stage non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The study explores whether the transcriptomic profile determines whether or not a patient will relapse and could be used as an indication of prognosis. This interview took place at the IASLC 2026 World Conference on Lung Cancer congress in Seoul, Republic of Korea.
