ELCC 2021 | The rollout of genomic hubs in the UK

Sanjay Popat, BSc, MBBS, FRCP, PhD, The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust, London, UK, gives an update on the rollout of genetic tumor testing in the UK. Seven genomic laboratory hubs (GLHs) are commissioned to provide germline testing for inheritable cancers and cancer gene testing. Prof. Popat reports that many of these GLHs are now up and running, although testing capacity varies between regions, and emphasizes the importance of genomic testing for patients with lung cancer. This video was recorded at the virtual European Lung Cancer Congress (ELCC) 2021.
