NCRI 2016 | Opposing views on alcohol minimum pricing

Tim Stockwell, PhD of University of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada discusses opposing views on the alcohol minimum pricing. The multinational drinks industry has tried to oppose the minimum pricing in Scotland with the public opinion being very supportive of the idea. Dr Stockwell points out that the minimum pricing is not going to affect the moderate drinkers, but instead it is going to focus on heavy drinkers who usually choose cheaper alcohol options. Recorded at the 2016 National Cancer Research Institute (NCRI) Conference in Liverpool, UK.
