Adam Brufsky, MD, PhD, is a Professor of Medicine, the Associate Chief of the Division of Hematology/Oncology, Medical Director of the Magee-Women’s Cancer Program, Co-Director of the Comprehensive Breast Cancer Center, and Associate Director of Clinical Investigation at the University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, PA.
Prof. Brufsky received his MD and PhD at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, after which he completed his internship and residency at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston, MA and a fellowship in medical oncology at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, MA. Prof. Brufsky is a member of the American Medical Association, Massachusetts Medical Society, American College of Physicians, American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Association for Cancer Research, Allegheny County Medical Society, Pennsylvania Medical Society, and Pennsylvania Oncologic Society.

Prof. Brufsky is a key researcher with a focus on novel therapeutics and management strategies for breast cancer, bone-breast cancer interactions and therapeutics, and understanding the molecular biology of metastatic breast cancer.
Prof. Brufsky’s research has focused on investigating the use of targeted agents to treat triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) and the management of HER-2 low breast cancer.
