Speaking on biomarkers and personalized medicine in thoracic oncology

Dr di Federico’s research focuses on lung cancers, with an emphasis on molecular biomarkers and immunotherapy in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). His work has investigated the genomic drivers of NSCLC and mechanisms of acquired resistance to targeted therapies, including EGFR-directed treatment. He is also interested in identifying markers of response and resistance to anti-PD-1/PD-L1 therapies with the aim of determining which patients are likely to benefit most from immunotherapy-based treatment.
