Academic history

Andreas Charalambous, PhD, PGCert, is a distinguished Professor of Oncology and Palliative Nursing Care at the Cyprus University of Technology, Limassol, Cyprus, and he also serves as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Turku, Turku, Finland. His nursing career began in 1995, and he has since built an impressive academic background, earning his BSc in Nursing Science from Northumbria University, Newcastle, England, in 1999 followed by an MSc in Nursing Science in 2002 and a PhD in Oncology Nursing in 2008, both from Middlesex University, London, England. He is a founder and past president of the Cyprus Oncology Nursing Society and the European Oncology Nursing Society (EONS), and has contributed significantly to cancer care research, leading numerous national and international projects.
