Dr Rosenberg primarily focuses his clinical research on cancers of the thyroid and head and neck. He is particularly interested in the advancement and future applications of immunotherapy for treating thyroid and head and neck cancers.
He has actively participated in clinical trials related to these therapies, including the recent OPTIMA II trial, which investigated the use of neoadjuvant nivolumab combined with chemotherapy for HPV-positive (HPV+) oropharyngeal cancer. Additionally, Dr Rosenberg has been involved in the DEPEND trial, which explores the efficacy of preoperative nivolumab combined with paclitaxel and carboplatin, followed by tailored chemoradiation based on treatment response, in individuals with locoregionally advanced HPV-negative (HPV-) head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC).
