Speaking on clinical research in gastrointestinal cancers
Dr Dasari has actively contributed to advancing the field of medical oncology through his involvement in various clinical research initiatives. His research interests include exploring novel treatment strategies and understanding mechanisms of resistance in cancer therapy. Notably, he has participated in the FRESCO-2 trial, which investigated new treatment options for patients with advanced colorectal cancer. Additionally, his work includes studying the genetic and molecular changes in circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) of patients with colorectal cancer who do not respond to anti-EGFR therapies. This research aims to uncover patterns of clonal evolution and resistance, providing insights that could lead to more effective treatment approaches.
