Benjamin Adam Weinberg, MD, is an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center at Georgetown University, Washington, DC, and an Attending Physician specializing in gastrointestinal cancers and sarcomas. He obtained his MD from the Keck School of Medicine of USC, Los Angeles, CA, and completed residency at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. He as earned multiple awards, including the Conquer Cancer Foundation of ASCO Young Investigator Award, HemeOnc Today’s Next Gen Innovator, and First Place Fellow Clinical Research Award at the Georgetown Department of Medicine Research Day.

Dr Weinberg is a leading researcher and physician in the field of gastrointestinal cancers, leading early phase clinical trials with emphasis on novel therapies such as BXCL701 for colorectal and pancreatic cancers. His research has involved enhancing molecular profiling and ctDNA-based minimal residual disease (MRD) in colorectal cancer, and elucidating the link between the gut microbiome and the rising incidence of colorectal cancer among young adults.
