Chiara Cremolini, MD, PhD, is Associate Professor of Medical Oncology at the University of Pisa, Pisa, Italy. She currently leads the scientific activities of the Clinical Trials Office at the Unit of Oncology, Santa Chiara Hospital in Pisa, Italy, and also serves as Scientific Secretary of the Gruppo Oncologico del Nord Ovest (GONO) Foundation. She earned her medical degree, Master of Science in Clinical Trials, and specialization in Medical Oncology at the University of Pisa, where she also completed her PhD in Clinical Pathophysiology
Speaking on innovations in colorectal cancer treatment
Dr Cremolini’s research focuses on gastrointestinal malignancies, with a particular emphasis on colorectal cancer. She has led numerous national and international clinical trials investigating intensified chemotherapy combinations, novel treatment sequencing strategies, and the integration of immunotherapy for both metastatic and locally advanced colorectal cancer. She collaborates closely with leading international research institutions to identify molecular predictors of response and resistance to systemic therapies. Collectively, her research efforts aim to advance personalized treatment approaches in colorectal oncology.
