Efrat Dotan

Efrat Dotan, MD, is currently Executive Medical Director of the Ann B Barshinger Cancer Institute at Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health, Philadelphia, PA. She was previously the Chief of the Division of Gastrointestinal Medical Oncology at Fox Chase Cancer Center, Philadelphia, PA. She is also the Chair of the Older Adult Oncology Panel and member of the Pancreatic Adenocarcinoma Panel at the National Comprehensive Cancer Network.
Dr Dotan earned her MD from Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa, Israel, completed her residency and chief residency at Lennox Hill Hospital, New York, NY, and fellow and chief fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at Fox Chase Cancer Center. Dr Dotan is a member of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network, American Society of Clinical Oncology, International Society of Geriatric Oncology, Cancer and Aging Research Group, Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group, and American Medical Association.
Speaking on gastrointestinal cancers
Dr Dotan designs clinical trials for the research of novel treatments of gastrointestinal cancer, with a focus on older cancer patients. Her research has involved studying the optimal treatment for metastatic pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (mPDAC) in older patients.
